Before our Fraser Island trip we stayed a few nights at Rainbow Beach. If I am completely honest there isn't a lot to do here. However, seeing as this is the pre and/or post destination for the Fraser trip it's not surprising!

The Beach

Another destination, another beach! Unfortunately the weather was a bit hit and miss but oh well. Don't get me wrong this is not the most beautiful beach in comparison to the ones we have seen BUT a beach is still a beach! 

Sunset Walk 

At Frasers on Rainbow, at 5 o'clock daily they walk to the sand dunes to watch the sunset, sandboard and view the sands that got the destination their infamous band; Rainbow Beach. 

This is really worth doing! It's about a 20 minute walk but the sunset is so peaceful and you can get some amazing pictures. If I am honest, there is not much to do so I would advise you to take the time to do this. 

There is not much to do here at all. It is a relaxation place before and after Fraser Island. Take advantage of this chill time but if you are going to do one thing here- don't miss out on the sunset walk!
