LONG HOSTEL

Facilities

The wifi here was good however not always strong enough for bank payments. This was the same for their computers as well. 

Security here is quite lax. Anyone could enter the hostel although you do have the ability to lock your door. Further to this, there are lockers within the rooms which you are given a key for but can then put your locks on to aswell. 

There aren't really common areas here as such but there is a reception area which was ever changing whilst we stayed there. 

Let me explain! As we arrived at the hostel, we were a bit worried to see so much building work on the inside. Turns out they were retailing the floor and changing the reception and face of the hostel. They work quick here though as this was completed within hours! 

Showers and Toilets

We had an ensuite and it was really clean and of a decent size. However, the shower and toilet etc were altogether which meant there could be queuing. 

Staff

The staff here are so lovely. When we arrived there was a bit of trouble with our room because the previous occupant had failed to check out. They apologised repeatedly and gave us some ice tea and a banana whilst we waited. They helped us with directions, which bus tickets and companies to go with and even helped me when a payment would not confirm. 

Breakfast 

Breakfast changed every day but would often be the choice of a baguette and an assortment of jams or an omelette or banana pancake. I had the omelette one day and the pancake another- I would recommend both!

Value for Money 

This hostel was quite cheap and lives up to its high rating on Hostelworld. The place itself, is still developing but it's really on its way to being a great hostel. 

Dorm

The dorm was quite big and clean. The beds were comfortable but they squeaked a lot! The rooms all have quite big lockers in as I said before. As is so common in Asia, the air con was on very high but better that than a sweat fest. So all in all, quite a good room. 

Location

Location is good. It's very close to the bus pick up and drop off. Also, it's round the corner from the market and park. The larger excursions and sights are a bit further away but nothing major. 

OVERALL, I would really recommend staying here! The staff make you feel so at home and it's so nice to be in a hostel where the staff really care.
