So our Asian adventure has begun!

Buddha Tooth Relica

It is free to enter this temple but they request you cover up. If you do forget, they provide you with shawls and sarongs. The temple itself is quite small but it's really decorative such a contrast to the churches/holy buildings we saw on our Europe expedition. It is worth checking out but if I am honest it won't take long do I would plan to do something else as well.

Sri Mariamman

You have to pay to enter this temple and take photographs. We ended up not going inside because it started to rain and you can't go in with shoes on and unfortunately squelchy shoes is not the one. Do take a look at the place though because the architecture is so ornate and detailed.

Jollibean

This is a soy milkshake/smoothie bar with an array of flavours and also desserts. They are cheap and very refreshing on a hot and humid day aka most days in Singapore!

ABC Restaurant

We were actually recommended this by a couple who were part of a big switch off in Singapore to conserve energy...I know, very random but! It is in Little India and was down the street from where we were staying. We were shocked at how cheap it was here! We ordered mutton curry, chicken masala and rice. The mutton curry was out of this world, the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. The chicken masala was nice but it was very spicy. We also got Naadi on another visit which is an onion bread to go with the curry.

Geylang Street

This street is known for its traditional street food, it's cheap but quality stuff. Street markets are such a good way to eat local delicacies without breaking the bank. We got a seafood noodle dish and pork ribs with rice and it was really good! I would recommend going to the places where you see the most local people because not only does that mean it's good but that it's a fair price.

Chinatown

On our way back from one of the temples we passed through Chinatown and decided yo eat. Tip- stick to the street good, you are getting it for a fraction of the price in comparison to the restaurants and it's really good. We had a duck and noodle dish and it was just what I needed...I hope I do not sick of noodles by the end of this trip!

Fort Canning Park

For our last few hours in Singapore we went to go and chill in the park. Beware though because there are a lot if ants in the grass and they bite as I unfortunately found out. Great place to chill out especially because the nearest beaches are Sentosa.

I wish we had...

- Gone to the Gardens on the Bay but there was a thunderstorm on the day we were supposed to go so we didn't get chance to!

Love Imogen xoxo
